Nigar Arpadarai: Baku has become center for climate solutions

Baku has become one of the centers for climate solutions, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29 and MP Nigar Arpadarai said speaking at the opening of the 4th Baku Climate Action Week on a day dedicated to energy transition, climate finance, and industrial decarbonization.

Report quotes her as saying two years ago, Baku was in the spotlight of the entire world.

"After COP29, Baku took its place in the global climate discussion. Baku Climate Action Week is held in the same spirit," she said.

Arpadarai noted that more than 3,000 people participated in the climate week last year, and this year their number has slightly increased.

"As part of the week, high-level discussions will be held on carbon markets, renewable energy, the future of cities, and other topics. I urge all participants to be active, participate in discussions on the topic of climate solutions, and find solutions," the MP added.
