The Russian publication NEWS.ru has dedicated an article to the IV Shusha Global Media Forum, which took place on July 13-14, noting that one of the key topics of the event was the impact of artificial intelligence on the media space and the search for answers to challenges associated with the development of AI, Report informs.
The publication covers in detail the speeches of forum participants dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence, the fight against disinformation, and issues of trust in media.
The second day of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic "The Mission of the Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust" opened with a speech by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Hajiyev.
He recalled that just recently, artificial intelligence in the media sphere was at an initial stage, and speeches prepared with its help were perceived as exotic. Today, the technology has become part of everyday life.
The moderators of the second day of the forum were Euronews Managing Editor for the Middle East, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus Jane Witherspoon and AnewZ TV Editor-in-Chief Guy Shone.
The program included three panel discussions and three one-on-one conversations.
The first - "Peacebuilding and Public Discourse Through the Media Lens" - featured AnewZ TV presenter Nadia Gyane, President of the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication of Morocco (HACA) Latifa Akharbach, and First Vice Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Kanat Iskakov.
The speakers of the second - "From Destruction to Renewal: Urban Narratives and Media Responsibility" - were AnewZ TV Deputy Editor-in-Chief Orkhan Amashov, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Anadolu Agency Yusuf Özhan, and AnewZ TV Executive Director Rufat Hamzayev.
This is while on the panel "The Mission of the Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust," AnewZ TV presenter Dilek Tuna, Secretary General of the Ministry of Government Communications of Jordan Zaid Al-Nawaiseh, and Deputy Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Zhang Lin delivered speeches.
The use of AI is changing the journalism profession itself, Xinhua agency correspondent Liu Shuchen told NEWS.ru. In his opinion, AI should be used primarily by experienced professionals.
