MP: Azerbaijan sets an example of recovery after destruction

Azerbaijan is showing the entire world how modern spaces meeting the highest international standards can be created in places of destruction, Azerbaijani parliament deputy Fatma Yildirim said at the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly within the framework of WUF13 in Baku, according to Report.

Yildirim said the revival of mountain settlements after long years of destruction has not only economic but also important humanitarian significance.

"Azerbaijan today is implementing a large-scale state policy aimed at creating modern, safe, and environmentally sustainable cities. A special place in this strategy is occupied by the restoration of liberated territories," the parliamentarian said.

She also emphasized that Azerbaijan, possessing rich experience in the development of mountain regions, is implementing various programs in the territories liberated from occupation aimed at improving social infrastructure, creating new jobs, developing ecological tourism, and preserving natural and cultural heritage.
