MP: Azerbaijan's support to Türkiye during July 15 events was example of brotherhood

The brotherly and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are at their peak, Azerbaijani deputy Ahliman Amiraslanov, the head of the working group on inter-parliamentary relations with Türkiye, said at a commemoration event held in Baku on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of July 15 - Democracy and National Unity Day in Türkiye, Report informs

The MP noted that the July 15 events that took place in Türkiye in 2016 were not only a great and difficult test in Türkiye's history but also a day that entered history in golden letters:

"Azerbaijan's immediate support to Türkiye during this event was a great example of brotherhood. Türkiye emerged very strong from this test. Türkiye's current successes begin precisely from that date."

He noted that friendly relations between the two countries continue on a large scale:

"We are proud of this. Today, brotherly and friendly relations are at their peak. Azerbaijan will never forget Türkiye's support during the 44-day Patriotic War."

The deputy noted that inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries are developing on an upward trend.

"The news about the disarmament of the PKK makes us happy. This is an extremely important event for the Turkic world," he emphasized.
