Morocco highlights housing priorities at WUF13 in Baku

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku offers a new opportunity to continue discussions on housing, urban living, and sustainable city development policies and practices.

According to Report, this was stated by Adib Benbrahim, State Secretary for Housing at Morocco's Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, during the opening of the country's pavilion at the Urban Expo.

He said that housing remains a strategic priority for Morocco.

"The country places great importance on improving living conditions for citizens, developing inclusive urban policies, and strengthening territorial resilience," Benbrahim noted. "In this context, we attach special importance to dialogue, experience sharing, and the enrichment of mutual approaches, which contribute to shaping public policies and improving responses to urban challenges."

He added that Morocco's participation in various editions of the World Urban Forum reflects its ongoing commitment to cooperation and collective thinking.

Benbrahim also said that WUF13 provides a favorable environment for sharing experiences and summarizing results, noting that Moroccan representatives will participate in more than nine sessions during the forum.
