Montenegro announces new visa rules for Azerbaijani citizens

The government of Montenegro has outlined the steps Azerbaijani citizens need to take to obtain visas to enter the Balkan country.

Montenegro's diplomatic office in Azerbaijan told Report that Azerbaijani citizens applying for tourist or work visas must submit their applications through the VFS Global visa center.

"The government of Montenegro has taken steps to ensure that all those wishing to visit or work in Montenegro can easily apply through the VFS Global platform in Azerbaijan. Information on the required documents and application procedure is available on the VFS Global Azerbaijan website," the office said.

Montenegro began requiring visas for Azerbaijani citizens in January 2026.
