Mirziyoyev proposes joint production under 'six economies – one product' formula within C6

The countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan need to transition from mutual trade to joint production of final products, developing unified industrial and technological chains, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in Avaza.

Report's correspondent in Turkmenistan quotes him as saying economic cooperation between the countries of the region should reach a new level. For this, it is necessary to determine specific mechanisms for the growth of mutual trade and investment.

"First of all, we are talking about joint industrial and technological chains, shared digital services, and investment mechanisms that will allow launching major projects faster," Mirziyoyev said.

The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of developing a comprehensive regional program of trade and economic cooperation until 2035. According to him, it should become a practical tool for using the main advantage of the region - shared geography.

"It is necessary to consistently eliminate trade barriers, expand industrial cooperation, and launch major joint projects. We have already reached the point where simple trade with each other is not enough. We need to create a final product together. The formula 'six economies - one product' well conveys the meaning of what we should strive for," the head of state emphasized.

Mirziyoyev added that the participation of enterprises from several countries in a single production chain will allow forming stronger ties between the economies of the states.

To develop this direction, he proposed holding a business forum of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan in 2027.
