Mirziyoyev calls Washington meeting a victory for Ilham Aliyev's diplomacy

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has described the outcome of the historic meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United States in Washington as a victory for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's personal diplomacy.

According to Report, the Uzbek president made the remarks during the third meeting of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Supreme Intergstate Council.

"We regard the historic meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United States in Washington last August and the signing of the joint declaration as a striking victory for your personal diplomacy.

Once again, I congratulate you and wish you new great achievements," Mirziyoyev said.

The Uzbek president also noted that the sovereign policy pursued by President Aliyev contributes to strengthening the country's international authority and promoting a peaceful and constructive agenda in the South Caucasus.
