Mirziyoyev: Azerbaijan’s liberated territories creating new opportunities for co-op between SPECA countries

Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation create new opportunities for cooperation between the SPECA countries, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the summit of heads of state and government of the countries participating in the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia - SPECA - taking place in Baku, Report informs.

Mirziyoyev noted that during Azerbaijan's chairmanship in SPECA, regional cooperation has reached a new level.

“SPECA is an effective mechanism for regional partnership in achieving sustainable development goals,” he said.

The president added that there is every opportunity to increase trade turnover between the countries participating in the program. “At the same time, it is necessary to accelerate the creation of the Trust Fund.
