Minister: Panama to study Azerbaijan's experience in housing construction - EXCLUSIVE

Panama plans to study Azerbaijan's experience in housing construction, Panama's Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning, Jaime Jované Castillo, told Report.

The minister emphasized that the main goal of the Panamanian delegation's participation in WUF13 in Baku is to exchange practical experience with other countries and study successful approaches in urban development and housing construction.

"Yes, we came here from Panama (to Baku for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum – ed.) to share our experiences and gain valuable insights from other countries represented here, thanks to their development and active participation in various transformations of their cities. This is an experience we want to study and then apply in our own countries. It's interesting to recognize that no matter where we are – on what continent, in what ocean or sea, the Atlantic, Pacific, or Indian – the problems are the same. The need for sustainable housing solutions is key. It's important to understand how we can achieve this, and how Azerbaijan has succeeded, so that housing is not simply a building site, but becomes a home – with opportunities, with a sense of belonging, with the formation of a community – in order to restore and strengthen the communities that make countries stronger," he noted.
