Middle Corridor to boost Azerbaijan's role as logistical hub

The development of the Middle Corridor opens up major opportunities for both Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, Britain's newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Duncan Norman, told a press conference, Report informs.

"It is about making the most of Azerbaijan's position as a logistics hub. Azerbaijan has an incredible opportunity not only through, as we hope, the opening of borders with Armenia and the development of connections within the South Caucasus and subsequently with Türkiye, but also through transit from Central Asia," he said.

According to the diplomat, implementing the Middle Corridor project will benefit both countries.

"Anything that contributes to the development of the global economy is good, and anything that contributes to the development of the economies of friends such as Azerbaijan is very good. Therefore, I think we will all benefit from the implementation of this project," Norman emphasized.
