MFA: International efforts should be increased to eliminate threat of landmines in liberated areas

It is important to increase international efforts to eliminate the threat of landmines in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov said during the meeting with Tatiana Valovaya, General Director of UN Geneva, according to Report.

The minister stressed that 2022 has a symbolic meaning in terms of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan's membership in the UN. In particular, he spoke about important initiatives organized both in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan - Shusha, and in Baku.

Bayramov also informed about the current situation in the region, including the large-scale provocations of Armenia, about the measures being taken to eliminate the consequences of the almost 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories.

Valovaya expressed satisfaction with her visit to Azerbaijan.
