Mexico seeks to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in education

Mexico and Azerbaijan are expanding cooperation in education, as well as interaction in the field of urban development, Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan María Victoria Romero Caballero said at an event in Shusha marking Mexico's Independence Day.

Report's correspondent dispatched to Karabakh quotes her as saying an agreement on cooperation was signed between Mexican and Azerbaijani universities earlier this year.

"We have also identified institutions ready to cooperate and hope to finalize work on joint projects in the near future," the diplomat said.

The ambassador also highly praised Azerbaijan's hosting of the 13th UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) in May this year, noting that Mexico was represented at the event by a high-level delegation.

"It was a great honor for us to take over the baton from Baku and begin preparations for the next forum in Mexico City in 2028," Romero Caballero added.
