Mexican ambassador: WUF to return to Latin America after 14 years

Holding WUF14 in Mexico will mark the World Urban Forum's return to Latin America, 14 years after the forum in Medellin, Colombia, Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Maria Victoria Romero Caballero, said at the closing press conference of WUF13, Report informs.

She recalled that the forum was last held in Latin America in April 2014, when WUF7 took place in Medellin.

The diplomat emphasized that WUF14 will be the last forum before 2030, when the established urban development goals must be achieved, making the event particularly important in the context of the global sustainable development agenda.

The 14th session of the World Urban Forum will be held in Mexico City in 2028.
