Mayor of Gambia's capital thanks Azerbaijan for organizing WUF13

Mayor of Banjul, Rohey Malick Lowe, expressed gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan and the city of Baku for the high-level organization of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to Report, she made the remarks during the forum"s closing ceremony.

"Thank you to the Government of Azerbaijan and the city of Baku for the warm hospitality and for bringing us together at such an important moment for our cities and communities," Lowe said.

She also expressed appreciation to UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and Executive Director of UN-Habitat Anacláudia Rossbach for their leadership, commitment to the right to housing, and inclusive multilateral cooperation.

Lowe added that the Gambian authorities are grateful to the participating states of WUF13 for their support in the work of the forum.
