Azerbaijan plans to donate electric buses to Ukraine to service routes between socially significant facilities, Anatolii Fedoruk, the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Bucha, told Report on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
"The Azerbaijani side plans to donate electric buses to service routes between socially significant facilities. This is truly a manifestation of shared responsibility and a common desire to remain united and united, even in these difficult times," Fedoruk stated.
According to him, the assistance Azerbaijan provided to Irpin also indirectly contributed to support for Bucha and other Ukrainian regions.
"What the Azerbaijani diaspora, businesses, and the government have done in Irpen extends to Bucha as well. Azerbaijan supported Irpen, which allowed other partners to reallocate resources and direct them to Bucha, Borodianka, and other regions in need. Essentially, this is collective, scalable assistance," the mayor noted.
He emphasized that further cooperation was discussed during meetings with Azerbaijani politicians and business representatives at WUF13.
"This is precisely what we discussed yesterday and today with Azerbaijani politicians and business representatives-with an emphasis on gratitude for the support provided. We also plan to continue this cooperation in the future," added Anatolii Fedoruk.
