Masoud Pezeshkian: Communications can strengthen trade ties between Iran, Azerbaijan

"We are implementing projects to repair and restore land roads. The same work is being carried out in Iran's Astara," President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian said in an interview with AzTV, speaking about his visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

"These communications can strengthen trade ties between our country and Azerbaijan. Secondly, Azerbaijan can play a unifying role in communications and cargo transportation between Iran and Russia. Thirdly, Azerbaijan itself will be able to use the potential of Iran and the Persian Gulf to carry out transport operations through the territory of Iran. That is why today Iran is fulfilling its commitments in this area, and at the meeting with the president of Azerbaijan we will discuss issues of the correct implementation of projects to further simplify this process," the president of Iran noted.
