Luca Di Gianfrancesco on WUF13: Important issues of sustainable urban development discussed in Baku

Baku has become an important international platform for discussing housing, sustainable development, and urban governance issues within the WUF13, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco said at an event during WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that holding the forum in the Azerbaijani capital allowed representatives of governments, international organizations, and the expert community to develop joint approaches to urban development.

Di Gianfrancesco also emphasized the importance of cooperation between Italian and Azerbaijani universities within the Italian-Azerbaijani University, established with the participation of ADA University and five Italian universities.

"Housing and all related issues are fundamental to ensuring the security, justice, and dignity of every person," he said.

According to the diplomat, the World Urban Forum has confirmed the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experience to improve the sustainability of cities and the quality of life of its residents.
