Lu Mei: China ready to strengthen humanitarian exchanges with Azerbaijan

Chinese Ambassador Lu Mei said that China is ready to work with Azerbaijan to develop intercivilizational dialogue and strengthen humanitarian exchanges.

According to Report, speaking at the presentation in Baku of the documentary film "Guardian of Heritage," dubbed into Azerbaijani, the diplomat noted that humanitarian cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, education, media, tourism, science and technology, as well as youth exchanges, is steadily deepening.

"The Chinese side is ready to work together with Azerbaijan to develop intercivilizational dialogue and strengthen humanitarian exchanges," Lu Mei stressed.

Speaking about Chinese-Azerbaijani relations, the ambassador noted their dynamic development under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"In recent years, Chinese-Azerbaijani relations have developed comprehensively, entered a new stage and reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership," she said.

According to the diplomat, the number of high-level mutual visits between the two countries is growing, ties are expanding and political trust is strengthening. Important results have been achieved through the joint implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, while bilateral trade has repeatedly reached record levels.

Lu Mei also highlighted the significance of the film "Guardian of Heritage," produced by China Media Group. According to her, dubbing the film into Azerbaijani demonstrates that cooperation between the media of the two countries has entered a new stage and will enable Azerbaijani viewers to become more familiar with China"s rich cultural heritage.
