Kyrgyzstan has proposed the adoption of a roadmap to enhance cooperation among member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in the fields of trade, investment, and finance, Report informs, citing Kyrgyz media.
The proposal was made by Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev during a meeting of the heads of government and vice presidents of OTS member states held in Bishkek.
"In order to develop our economic cooperation more systematically, Kyrgyzstan has proposed a draft roadmap focused on collaboration in trade, investment, and finance," Kasymaliyev stated.
He urged member states to support the initiative and approve the roadmap in the near future.
The prime minister also emphasized the important roles of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the OTS Trade Facilitation Committee, highlighting their potential in removing trade barriers, supporting businesses-especially small and medium-sized enterprises-and boosting overall economic activity.
