Khankendi and Baia Mare to become sister cities

Azerbaijan's Khankendi and Romania's Baia Mare have agreed to establish sister-city relations, Report informs.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Elchin Yusubov, Azerbaijan's presidential special representative for Khankendi city and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, and Baia Mare Mayor Ioan Doru Dancus during Yusubov's visit to Romania.

The sides also discussed establishing and developing ties between Khankendi and Baia Mare, implementing joint projects, exchanging experience and pursuing other mutually beneficial initiatives.
