Kenneth Angell: Much broader opportunities will open up for Middle Corridor

In the near future, significantly broader opportunities will open up for the Middle Corridor, Kenneth Angell, Executive Director of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), said at a briefing following the visit of an American business delegation to Azerbaijan.

According to Report, he emphasized that the main goal of the Middle Corridor is to ensure the smooth transportation of goods from West to East and vice versa.

"The key task is to guarantee the movement of cargo from Europe to China or in the opposite direction along this route. There is the question of whether the new route will differ from the path running from Kazakhstan through Azerbaijan and then via Türkiye. However, in both directions there is a sufficient amount of cargo for transportation. In other words, this simply opens up an additional route for the movement of goods," he said.
