International cooperation, exchange of experience and partnerships within specialized forums will contribute to the further development of modern land management systems and sustainable urbanization in Kyrgyzstan.
Report informs that Azamat Karypov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Land Resources under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said this at the event "Fair Real Estate Taxation as a Driver of Sustainable Urban Development" held as part of WUF13 in Baku.
He emphasized the particular importance of integrating cadastral data, spatial information and digital solutions to support urban planning and achieve sustainable development goals.
According to him, large-scale work is underway in the country to establish a national cadastral system, including the development of a state information system, improvement of the regulatory framework and introduction of digital technologies.
"Cadastral valuation is viewed not only as a tool for determining the value of real estate, but also as a mechanism for sustainable urban governance, increasing transparency in land and property relations and developing municipalities," he said.
He said a cadastral valuation methodology had been developed as part of intergovernmental cooperation with technical support from foreign partners.
