Azerbaijan is an important partner for the European Union, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn said before the start of the Azerbaijan-EU Business Forum, which opened in Baku today.
The EU Commissioner noted that the holding of such an event testifies to the developing relations between Azerbaijan and the EU.
"The European Union will continue to support diversification of Azerbaijan's economy. I believe that Azerbaijan has chosen the right way by developing the non-oil sector. We will support these efforts," Johannes Hahn said.
