Jeyhun Bayramov, US official discuss situation on Azerbaijani-Armenian border

On May 14, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with US Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker, the MFA told Report.
The sides exchanged views on the current situation in the region and the tension on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
They stressed the importance of resolving such tensions through diplomacy and negotiations.
Bayramov stressed Azerbaijan's commitment to resolving tensions in the region. He informed the interlocutor that the leadership of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan had been sent to the area within several hours to resolve the tension on the border as soon as possible and that talks were being held with the other side.
