Jeyhun Bayramov receives newly appointed head of EU Delegation

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed head of the European Union (EU) Delegation in Baku, Marijana KujundžićReport informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The head of the delegation, Marijana Kujundžić, presented the letter regarding her appointment to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Marijana Kujundžić on her appointment and wished her success in her tenure in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in various areas, including political, economic, energy, transport-communications, humanitarian, and other directions.

The importance of joint energy projects implemented with the EU was emphasized. Interest was expressed in developing cooperation in other important areas.

The minister also provided detailed information to the envoy about the current situation and realities in the region during the post-conflict period.

The importance of the agreements reached within the framework of the Washington meeting in advancing the peace agenda initiated by our country, the initialing of the peace treaty, and the decision to abolish the OSCE Minsk process and related structures, which are remnants of the former conflict, was noted.

The head of the delegation, Marijana Kujundžić, expressed her gratitude for the reception and noted that during her term, she would spare no effort to advance the Azerbaijan-EU agenda.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
