Jeyhun Bayramov informs Colombian ambassador about Armenian provocations

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia, Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala, Report informs.

The Colombian ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala on his appointment as ambassador to Azerbaijan and wished him success in his future activities.

During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of bilateral relations, the implementation of the political consultation mechanisms, the benefits of mutual visits, and the importance of expanding inter-parliamentary relations, and emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation in education and tourism.

During the meeting, Jeyhun Bayramov gave detailed information to the other party about Armenia's 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories, illegal activities in those lands, ethnic cleansing policy, and Azerbaijan's peace efforts in the post-conflict period. Currently, despite the peace efforts in the region, it was stated that the provocations of Armenia hindered the process.

At the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
