Jeyhun Bayramov: Azerbaijan has changed the regional dynamics in the South Caucasus

Azerbaijan is investing billions of dollars in the reconstruction of the liberated territories - a former conflict zone - viewing this process as part of a long-term strategy for peace and cooperation, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov said at an event within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

According to him, large-scale reconstruction work in the liberated territories is not only an infrastructure project but also an important component of Azerbaijan's peacebuilding strategy.

"This is a strategy to build a better and more prosperous future for all," the Foreign Minister emphasized.

Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan"s decisive steps have changed the regional dynamics in the South Caucasus.

"After the end of a long-standing conflict and the full restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the region is moving from years of instability toward real opportunities for peace and cooperation," he said.

According to the minister, the removal of one of the main threats to peace and security in the region has opened new prospects for regional cooperation.
