Jeyhun Bayramov: Azerbaijan actively contributes to maintaining international, regional peace

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has delivered remarks at the High-level Meeting of the Global Development Initiative on the margins of UNGA80, Report informs.

"He emphasized that Azerbaijan and China enjoy a long-standing friendship, recently elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and reiterated Azerbaijan's support for China's GDI, GSI, GCI, and the newly announced GGI - initiatives that promote peace, stability, and shared prosperity worldwide," Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.

According to the post, Minister Bayramov underlined Azerbaijan's role as a reliable regional partner, contributing to peace, connectivity, and sustainable development through transformative projects such as the East-West and North-South transport corridors, and particularly the Middle Corridor, linking China and Central Asia to Europe.

"Azerbaijan remains fully committed to strengthening cooperation with all partners across the Global South to build a more interconnected, equitable, and prosperous world," the ministry said.
