Jeyhun Bayramov: Armenia is not taking real steps towards normalization of relations

Armenia is not taking real steps towards the normalization of relations, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said in a meeting with his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlic Radman on September 6, Report informs.

Within the framework of the meeting, Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about the situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, including the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process and the threat of landmines. Minister Bayramov noted that despite the initiatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia has not demonstrated the necessary political will to take real steps towards the normalization of relations, continued its contradictory approach, continuously evaded the implementation of the agreements and commitments reached, resorted to political and military provocations, not yet fully withdrawn its armed forces from Azerbaijani territories, created a threat to security in the region grossly violating its obligations.

It has been pointed out that the allegations spread around the Lachin-Khankandi road have no basis, and the rejection of Azerbaijan's proposals for the transportation of goods to the territory and the parallel use of roads prove that the claims about the "humanitarian situation" are political manipulation.
