Farhadov recalled that Pakistan was among the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan's independence, stressing that relations between the two nations are based on mutual trust, brotherhood, and solidarity. He added that Azerbaijan and Pakistan consistently support each other both bilaterally and on regional and international platforms.
Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, in his remarks, underlined the high level of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and noted that Azerbaijan and Pakistan traditionally support each other in international forums.
The event concluded with the cutting of a symbolic cake marking the 108th anniversary of Independence Day, followed by commemorative photographs.
