International conference participants visit Azerbaijan's Khojaly

Participants of the 4th International Conference within the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons have visited the city of Khojaly, Azerbaijan.

According to Report's correspondent in Khojaly, the visit was organized by the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons. The delegation first visited the Khojaly Genocide Memorial.

The participants included former heads of state and government from various countries, senior representatives of international organizations and foreign states, heads of institutions dealing with missing persons, experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations and human rights specialists, as well as accredited foreign ambassadors, military attachés, and other officials in Azerbaijan.

Visitors were briefed in detail about the Khojaly tragedy and informed that the memorial complex was built to preserve the memory of the victims and safeguard national remembrance.

The conference participants are also scheduled to visit the city of Shusha.
