Indonesia supports Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, ambassador says

Indonesia supports the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia and welcomes the results achieved in this direction.

As a Report correspondent informs from Khankandi, Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Berlian Helmy made the remark during the diplomatic corps' visit to Karabakh.

"We support Azerbaijan and the peaceful settlement, and we welcome the results achieved. We advocate for sustainable and long-term peace, as well as for the development of human potential through peace," the diplomat noted.

He emphasized that despite the geographical distance between the two countries, cooperation between Indonesia and Azerbaijan is active, strategic, and comprehensive in nature.

The ambassador also highlighted promising areas for bilateral cooperation.

"Renewable energy, the oil and gas industry, infrastructure, the mining sector, as well as air and maritime transport are particularly promising. Furthermore, digital development, information technology, and artificial intelligence remain important areas," Helmy said.
