81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence marked in Baku

The Indonesian Embassy in Baku has held a series of celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of the country's independence, Report informs.

The events were held under the theme "Sovereign, Just and Prosperous Indonesia" and aimed to strengthen solidarity within the Indonesian community and further develop diplomatic relations with partners in Azerbaijan.

The main event was a ceremony to raise the national flag in honor of Independence Day.

Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Berlian Helmy attended the ceremony, along with members of the Indonesian diaspora, students, local partners and "Friends of Indonesia."

The embassy also organized various other events to mark the national holiday.

Marking the 81st anniversary of Indonesia's independence, the embassy reaffirmed its commitment to preserving national unity and supporting the active participation of the Indonesian diaspora in promoting Indonesia's development, sovereignty and prosperity internationally.
