Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the special role of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in attracting investment to Karabakh, according to Report's correspondent in Tashkent.

"I would once again like to highlight the special role of President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev in attracting investment to Karabakh. The first assistance was provided by Uzbekistan: the construction of a school for 960 students, investment in garment production - the first major industrial enterprise - is also associated with Uzbekistan, as are further plans for cooperation both in the Karabakh region and in many other regions," the head of state said during a joint press statement with Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the Azerbaijani leader, it is noteworthy that among the projects inaugurated or whose foundation was laid today were initiatives being implemented not only in Baku and Tashkent, but also in other regions.

"The interregional cooperation forum held yesterday is also of great practical interest. So, we are joining forces and creating synergy, as they like to say nowadays. We have a clear action plan to move forward, and each project is filled with concrete substance," Ilham Aliyev said.
