The global challenges that the world has faced recently have made it clear that the Middle Corridor is the most reliable and economically beneficial route, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at the 2nd trilateral meeting of Foreign Affairs, Economy/Trade, and Transport Ministers of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan in Ankara, Report informs.
The minister emphasized that the world is going through difficult times today, however, the Turkic world countries, based on historical ties, continue to demonstrate solidarity and unity.
"Our countries are making efforts to achieve peace and prosperity not only in their region but throughout the world. The Organization of Turkic States will continue joint and decisive actions to achieve common goals," he said.
Fidan reminded that after the coronavirus pandemic, significant problems arose in the global supply chain and numerous armed conflicts emerged.
"All this has damaged the foundation of the global system. However, the challenges we faced have clearly shown that the Middle Corridor through Central Asia, the Caspian Sea, and Türkiye to Europe is the most reliable and economically beneficial route for Asia and Europe," he added.
