Practical implementation of urban initiatives and their financing should come to the fore instead of theoretical discussions and general development concepts.
Report informs that James Schell, Senior Director of Program Partnerships at Habitat for Humanity International, said this while speaking at a panel session held as part of WUF13.
According to him, current discussions often focus on general issues of inclusion, building materials and community participation, while the key unresolved problem remains financing for real projects.
He noted that future discussions should focus on concrete examples of implemented projects, including their financing mechanisms and community participation, rather than theoretical approaches.
