Growing interest in Azerbaijan observed in Europe - AIR Center chairman

Interest in Azerbaijan has been growing in Europe in recent years, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism (AIR Center) Farid Shafiyev told journalists on the sidelines of the international conference "Security and Cooperation in the South Caucasus," Report informs.

"This is not just about energy. There is a whole range of issues related to security, security guarantees, transport, transit, logistics, and other areas. Therefore, we periodically hold discussions (conferences - ed.) with our European partners [experts] and organize such events," Shafiyev said.

The AIR Center chairman noted that the participants of today's conference will also visit Karabakh.

"They will familiarize themselves with the work being carried out in the liberated territories and the existing problems, including the mine problem. I believe that such contacts and discussions contribute to the expansion of cooperation between European countries and Azerbaijan," he added.
