FM: Azerbaijan expects relations with Iran to develop even more

Azerbaijan expects that after the new Iranian president takes office, relations will develop even further, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists, Report informs.
“A new president has been elected in Iran, and the president of Azerbaijan conveyed his congratulations on this occasion. We are interested in implementing projects previously agreed upon between Azerbaijan and Iran,” the minister noted.
On July 5, Iran held the second round of early presidential elections, following which former Health Minister Masoud Pezeshkian won with 53.6% of the total votes. Conservative Saeed Jalili received 44.3% of the vote.
