Families of missing Azerbaijanis demand justice – PHOTOS

More than 30 years have passed since the First Karabakh War, yet the families of nearly 4,000 missing Azerbaijani citizens still seek consolation, remaining unaware of their fate and unable to bury their loved ones.

According to Report's European bureau, participants in the rally, held on August 30 in front of the UN office in Geneva - on the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances - spoke about that.

The organizer of the rally, head of the Karabakh Missing Families non-governmental organization Konul Behbudova, noted that only a few people could participate in the event. However, they represented all the families who still cannot learn anything about the fate of their relatives.

In the numerous boxes brought by the participants, they collected the few belongings, photographs, and documents that remained with them or were given to them by other families.

The Broken Chair monument and the UN office in Geneva are very crowded places, attracting tourists from around the world. The rally drew the attention of many passersby, who approached to ask about its purpose and recorded photos and videos.
