EU commissioner: Azerbaijan successful in fighting COVID

Azerbaijan has been successful in fighting the COVID pandemic and avoid the major economic backlash of the pandemic, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi told reporters in Baku, Report informs.

“For this, we commend the country and its people,” he noted.

“Prosperity of Azerbaijan depends on the prosperity of its region – the South Caucasus,” he stressed.
