Erdogan: Türkiye will never forget help provided by Azerbaijani people during tragedy

The main proof of the unity of the destinies of Türkiye and Azerbaijan is the Azerbaijan neighborhood in Kahramanmaras, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the opening ceremony of the neighborhood, Report informs.

"We are two states with one heart," Erdogan said.

He said that Azerbaijan was one of the first to come to the rescue when the earthquake hit Türkiye: "The support of the Azerbaijani people in the wake of the tragedy that Türkiye faced will never be forgotten. This neighborhood, which was destroyed by the earthquake, was rebuilt with the support of Azerbaijan. We will always remember the support of Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva. We turned Kahramanmaras into a residential area provided with everything necessary."
