Envoy: Consultations between Belarus, Azerbaijani MFAs cover wide spectrum

Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFAs) of Belarus and Azerbaijan covered the full spectrum of bilateral relations, Belarus's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich told Report's correspondent in Karabakh.

Speaking during his visit to the region as part of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, Pinevich stressed that the consultations addressed trade and economic cooperation, education and cultural projects, sports collaboration, and other areas.

"In fact, the inter‑ministerial consultations encompassed the entire spectrum of our relations – trade and economy, education, culture, and sports," the diplomat said.

He emphasized that as a result of the consultations, both sides reaffirmed previously planned projects, mutual support on international platforms, and shared interests.

Pinevich also pointed out that the two countries plan reciprocal participation in international events and exhibitions.

According to him, Belarus will take part in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku this October, while Azerbaijan will join the Vinoprom exhibition in Belarus.

The ambassador added that such reciprocal participation in exhibitions will continue.

Touching on the next round of consultations, Pinevich said a plan will be drawn up for discussions across various sectors. "These are global and sector‑specific consultations, and they will be held annually. They have been held before as well," he noted.

The envoy further stressed that ties between the two Foreign Ministries continue regularly, including at the level of foreign ministers and deputy ministers.
