Dutch Embassy, Azerbaijani NGO discuss mine action cooperation

Dutch Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marianne de Jong has met with representatives of the Azerbaijan Campaign to Ban Landmines Public Union.

Report informs that the Dutch Embassy in Azerbaijan shared the information on X.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the humanitarian impact of landmine contamination in Azerbaijan, the current state of demining efforts, mine risk education initiatives and the challenges faced by landmine victims.

Representatives of the organization also gave an overview of projects implemented in previous years, as well as reports they had prepared in this field.

The sides emphasized the importance of international cooperation in global mine action and discussed opportunities to strengthen support for addressing Azerbaijan's landmine challenge, given the scale of the problem.

The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere of mutual exchange. The sides also discussed opportunities for future cooperation.
