Duncan Norman: Peace in South Caucasus to open new opportunities for region

Peace in the South Caucasus will open new opportunities for trade, investment, and connectivity among the countries of the region, newly appointed UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan Duncan Norman said at an event marking the birthday of King Charles III.

According to Report, he noted that Azerbaijan is a dynamic, modern country with global connections.

"Azerbaijan is entering a period of new opportunities, as for the first time in many years there is a real prospect of lasting peace in the South Caucasus. Peace will open new opportunities for trade, investment, and connectivity among the countries of the region. The task now is to make that peace long-lasting. However, despite all the changes I have witnessed, one thing has remained unchanged - the warmth and hospitality of the Azerbaijani people," he said.
