DR Congo expects new investment opportunities from WUF13 — EXCLUSIVE

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) sees participation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13 as an opportunity to present the country's investment potential, as well as that of the African continent, to international partners, Alexis Muvunyi, Minister of State for Urban Planning and Housing of the DR Congo, told Report.

"We expect from this forum an opportunity to talk about the Democratic Republic of the Congo, attract investors, and show that Africa is a continent in which investment is possible," the minister said on the sidelines of the forum.

According to him, the authorities expect international partners and private investors to gain a better understanding of the DR Congo and Africa as a whole, which would contribute to further growth in investment.

Muvunyi also stressed that participation in World Urban Forum 13 continues discussions previously held at the African Forum in Nairobi.

"Today we have come here to present Africa's voice at this World Forum being held in Baku," he said.
