Women's access to housing in Uganda is extremely limited, Ugandan representative Dorothy Baziwe said at a roundtable discussion at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
According to her, women in Uganda are completely deprived of land rights.
"Some 64% of land in Uganda is fully usable. But if a woman's husband dies, she loses her right to use the land. Improving women's access to financial resources could be the solution to this problem. Then, women could be provided with secure living conditions," she added.
