Disclosed number of Azerbaijanis naturalized in Germany for past 25 years

Baku. 8 January. REPORT.AZ/ 4406 Azerbaijani citizens were naturalized in Germany in 1992-2016 years. 

The Federal Statistical Office of Germany told in response to enquiry of Report News Agency.

The highest figure on naturalization of Azerbaijanis in Germany was recorded in 2006. Thus, 398 Azerbaijani citizens obtained German passport that year. The lowest number in this field was in 1996.Only two people received Germany passport in the mentioned year.

2244 or 50.9% of people who obtained German citizenship were female, 49.1% -male.

According to Federal Statistical Office of Germany, no female Azerbaijani citizen was naturalized in 1996. The highest figure in this regard was recorded in 2006. In this period, 186 Azerbaijani women obtained the German passport.

The lowest and highest indicator with men was recorded in 1994 and 2006. 1 and 212 Azerbaijani males were granted German citizenship in these years respectively.
