Deputy PM: Washington visit highlights Azerbaijan’s growing global role and partnership

President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Washington demonstrated Azerbaijan's rising international role, growing influence, and recognition as a reliable partner worldwide, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said at a special Cabinet meeting dedicated to the trip, Report informs.

He noted that establishing the foundations of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States during the visit is a major diplomatic and political success for Azerbaijan.

“At the same time, the signing of the Joint Declaration between Azerbaijan and Armenia, witnessed by the US, is another victory in our country’s history. This document is not only the result of intense negotiations and consistent diplomatic efforts but also a clear example of President Aliyev’s strong leadership, strategic thinking, and far-sighted policy. Alongside other important provisions, the clauses on opening transport communications in the region hold great significance,” Mustafayev said.
