The goal of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is the basis of the strong cooperation established between Azerbaijan and the United Nations, Elnur Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, said during the annual high-level strategic consultations between the government of Azerbaijan and the UN in Aghdam, Report informs.
According to him, the Great Return program is of priority importance for Azerbaijan. Thus, within the framework of this program, it is planned to move 35,000 families to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan by the end of 2026.
Touching upon the mine threat, Mammadov emphasized that Armenia does not want to cooperate in clearing the territories of mines and this is proved by the fact that the accuracy of the mine maps provided by them is only 25 percent.
“Most importantly, Armenia should stop mining the territories of Azerbaijan,” Mammadov said.
